This privacy policy applies to the Paper Portrait app and web service (the "Application") provided by Wanyeki Technologies LLC (the "Service Provider"). The Application is provided "as is".
What information does the Application obtain?
The Application collects the following information when you register and use the service:
- Account information: email address and (optionally) a username for account creation and authentication.
- Device registration: registration codes and names of the Portrait devices you register to your account.
- Profile images: any optional profile image you upload to personalize your account.
- Device images: images you upload to display on your registered devices.
This information is used to provide the core functionality of the Application: managing your devices and displaying content on your eInk displays.
Location information
The Application does not collect precise location information about your mobile device.
Third party access
The Application uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) to store and process your data securely. Data is stored in AWS and protected by industry-standard security measures. Payments for subscriptions are processed by RevenueCat via their payment partners; Wanyeki Technologies LLC does not store your payment information. We do not sell, share, or provide your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
Data retention and deletion
Your data is retained as long as you maintain an active account. You may delete your account at any time through the Application's account settings. When you delete your account:
- All registered devices are unregistered and made available for others to register.
- Account information, profile images, and device images are permanently deleted.
- This action cannot be undone.
Opt-out rights
You can stop all collection of information by the Application by deleting your account through the account settings, or by uninstalling the mobile Application.
Children
The Application is not used to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. The Service Provider encourages all children never to submit any personally identifiable information through the Application. Parents and legal guardians should monitor their children's internet usage and enforce this policy by instructing their children never to provide personally identifiable information through the Application without permission.
If you believe a child has provided personally identifiable information to the Service Provider through the Application, please contact babs@wanyekitech.com so we can take the necessary actions. You must also be at least 16 years of age to consent to the processing of your personally identifiable information in your country (in some countries a parent or guardian may consent on your behalf).
Security
The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. The Application uses AWS Cognito for secure authentication and AWS S3 for secure storage of images. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS / TLS). Please note that no method of transmission over the internet, and no method of electronic storage, is 100% secure.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. Updates are published on this page. Continued use is deemed approval of all changes.
Your consent
By using the Application, you consent to the processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by the Service Provider.
